The Chase fans blown away by Shaun Wallace's buff transformation on This Morning

The Chase star Shaun Wallace sent fans wild by revealing his buff new look on This Morning.

The TV star – aka The Dark Destroyer – appeared on the ITV daytime show to discuss his appearance on the programme DNA Journey but all fans could talk about were his impressive guns.

Viewers couldn’t take their eyes off the quiz show star’s toned physique, which was unmissable as he showcased it in a tight black t-shirt.

And many took to Twitter to share their thoughts about his incredible new look.

“Shaun looking like a fitness instructor,” one impressed fan posted.

Another exclaimed: “Daaaaaamn, Shaun’s been down the gym.”

One viewer suggested the star should start flashing his muscles on The Chase.

This Morning fans were staggered by Shaun’s new look

“Shaun better start flexing the swans every time he gets a question right,” they joked.

One person said they were going to start watching The Chase because Shaun was looking so “hench”.

“Shaun looking for a Men’s Health cover shoot perhaps?” quipped another, while one tweeted: “Shaun didn’t have to flex on us so hard.”

Other people who had tuned in expressed their surprise about Shaun’s age, with one surprised viewer tweeting: “Shaun Wallace is 61!!!!”

The TV star went on DNA Journey with his fellow Chaser Anne Hegarty, with both of them keen to find out more about their ancestors.

Shaun managed to trace his family back eight generations to the early 1700s.

He also found an ancestor who had amassed a small fortune in Cuba.

Shaun and Anne explored their family history

Anne discovered that she comes from a long line of impressive ancestors – one who survived two torpedo attacks and escaped the sinking of a ship by clinging to an upturned lifeboat.

Shaun said of the new show: “It was amazing. Without giving anything away, I found out about one relative from the dim and distant past who was very altruistic, and that was a really poignant moment for me.

“It was also the first time Anne had been to Jamaica, and that was great because she was basically coming to my territory and she really embraced it. She loved the food and the culture; it was a special time.”

Shaun has been a Chaser on the hit TV show since 2009.

He has also appeared on other quiz programmes including Mastermind, Fifteen To One, The Weakest Link and the celebrity version of Catchphrase.
