The Masked Singer UK's Robobunny identity 'exposed' as Top Gear star by convinced fans

The Masked Singer fans have shared their theories that one Top Gear presenter could be the face behind Robobunny.

Last weekend, the popular ITV talent competition returned for the latest instalment for the third series with a whole new lineup of celebs hidden behind the show’s most eccentric costumes yet.

And one character which has got everyone talking is the largest costume to appear on the show which towers over the other 10 contestants on the show.

Ahead of his performance on stage, producers featured a clue-ridden VT which hinted that the person behind the mask is a “machine” who has made a “splash” on screen.

In the clip, the character said: “Allow me to introduce myself, I am Ro-ro-bo-bo Bunny! You thought it was a real tough guy aye? That’s just my shell. I’m actually a real softie, who’s part of a machine.

“Now I’m not going to ‘rabbit’ on about hard exteriors, but I will say, that I’m here to ‘Control-Alt-Delete’ what you know about me.

“So buckle up, because I came to play. Let’s hop to it. I might be made of metal but that doesn’t stop me from making a splash.”

The mystery celeb went on to sing a beautiful rendition of the classic Whitney Houston song Saving All My Love For You.

After the show, viewers were overflowing with ideas as to who the masked singer could be, but swarms of fans were convinced that it could be a car fanatic.

Going off of the clue that the celebrity is “actually a real softie, who’s part of a machine” fans theorise Top Gear presenters could be behind the mask.

One user penned: “I think Robobunny is Richard Hammond,” as a second agreed: #MaskedSingerUK Vernon Kay presented Splash right??? Cars & Splash – Richard Hammond?”

A third chimed in: “#robobunny is definitely @vernonkay” while another pointed out that the star hosted the ITV diving competition Splash back in 2013.

Elsewhere, another fan of the show predicted that Freddie Flintoff could be the sportsman hidden inside the oversized machine.

They pointed out: “I think Robobunny is Freddie Flintoff, didn’t he box? he’s really tall and he’s on Top Gear #MaskedSingerUK.”
