This Morning's Phillip Schofield raises glass with Alison Hammond on ITV set

This Morning stars Phillip Schofield and Alison Hammond decided to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with cheeky pints on their ITV set.

The bubbly TV co-stars were seen smiling with two pints of Guinness in their hands on Thursday (March 17) to honour the annual Irish event of St Patrick’s Day.

Taking to Instagram, Alison shared a sweet snap of her standing next to Phil, who looked smart for the screen with a white collar shirt.

Alison, 47, glammed up the room in a plunging leopard print top which she revealed was from ASOS, topping off the look with a pair of shoes from Yours Clothing.

The presenting pair were standing just in front of an Irish flag and some white, green and orange bunting to match the national flag colours.

Like many others, a fifth added: “Happy St Patrick’s day”

Alison stepped in to present Thursday’s edition of This Morning as regular host Holly Willoughby is recovering from Covid, with Josie Gibson filling in for Holly on other days this week.

The St. Patrick’s Day festivities kicked off with a performance with Imedla May, but Alison suffered a nightmare slip-up as she got her words mixed up.

Later on, she explained she had been struggling to read the autocue since the beginning of the show, so she put on her glasses.

Speaking on the show, she said: “Welcome back to This Morning, now you’re not seeing double…”

She went on: “I’ve actually got my glasses on because I couldn’t see, I couldn’t see the autocue today. I don’t know what’s the matter with me. So I thought I’d let you know.”

Trying to help out his co-host, Phillip suggested they get the camera crew to come closer toward the table they were sat at for their next segment but she told him: “No, it’s fine.”

Not listening, the 59-year-old got them to move closer anyway, commenting: “Creep right in there, in you come team, creep in, don’t be shy. It’s fine, closer, closer, come right in.”

Alison thanked him, saying: “That is so much better, thank you so much… oh it’s a bit close, no that’s too close. It’s so much better thank you so much.”
