Tipping Point fans floored as they say ITV player is 'double' of Inbetweeners star

Tipping Point fans were left distracted this week – after spotting a player who they thought looked remarkably like a famous Inbetweeners star.

A player called Rammy walked into the ITV studio in a bid to win a big cash prize from the famous TV Tipping Point machine.

Rammy joined fellow players Abbi and Margaret in Friday’s episode (May 6), which was filmed last year during the pandemic.

However, it wasn’t long before many fans spotted a striking resemblance between Rammy and famed Inbetweeners actor Simon Bird.

Bird played the hilarious schoolboy Will McKenzie on E4’s hit secondary school sitcom, The Inbetweeners, which for three seasons and two spin-off films.

Like Will, Rammy was sporting a studious look with a pair of specs and a smart shirt – he even shared Simon’s chiseled facial features.

Eagle-eyed viewers flocked to Twitter to point out the player’s resemblance to the actor during the show.

One fan wrote: “Have I just seen will mckenzie on #tippingpoint” as they attached a laughing-emoji.

A second said: “Ramy looks like Will off The Inbetweeners”.

A third agreed: “I thought he was Will from the inbetweeners at first.”

A fourth added: “Well done to Will from the inbetweeners winning the 10k on Tipping Point”.

Another even thought he acted like the fictional character as they wrote: “Not only does he look like Will but he has the mannerisms too!

The clever doctor managed to walk away with a huge cash prize of £10,000 after demonstrating his highly impressive quiz skills.

Margaret was knocked out first with £150, so it soon became a tense head-to-head between Rammy and Abbi who had just £50 between their totals at the end of the penultimate round.

However got the better of Abbi and made it to the final round with £1550 in the pot, where contestants get a chance to knock off the jackpot counter which trades in for £10,000.

To the delight of host Ben Shephard, Rammy managed to nab the lucrative counter and walk away with a whopping £10k as well as a mystery prize.

It comes after Ben paid a sweet tribute to one of the gameshow’s contestants following their death.
