Ulrika Jonsson has blasted One Direction star Harry Styles after a string of feminine fashion statements asking: “Where have all real men gone?”
The TV presenter let loose in an article in The Sun, claiming she is “perplexed and irritated” after macho men like Harry “suddenly turn up in heels” – despite fans flocking to praise Harry for smashing gender norms.
“I’m just a bit perplexed and irritated, Harry Styles had always been such a macho, naughty boy and suddenly he is turning up in heels,” the 54-year-old wrote.
Speaking of Harry, she said: “Another day, another male sleb in a blouse, clutching a handbag or wearing heels.
“He’s got it all. Looks, voice, rhythm (an older girlfriend!) and a somewhat flexible fashion sense.”

Though she praised Harry for being “more than a little comfortable” rocking dresses, cardigans, pearls and sequins on the red carpet, Ulrika went on to say that she “doesn’t understand” the point of his fashion statements.
She said: “When he first appeared publicly like this, it felt utterly unexpected. But I initially thought: ‘Good on you, boy.’”
Now the Celebs Go Dating star is longing for ‘manly’ men to get back in the spotlight.

Of course, Harry wasn’t the only male celebrity Ulrika had a pop at in her column, as the former Gladiators host also took a swipe at Timothee Chalamet and Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The footballer recently appeared on the cover of GQ Hype in a double-denim jumpsuit holding a Chanel handbag.
US actor and musician Jared Leto was also slammed by the star after he wore a lilac suit accessorised with a floral scarf and a pretty handbag.

Although Ulrika insisted she isn’t “repulsed”, she called into question the “ambiguity” towards gender in the fashion statements.
However, Harry has been met with waves of support from loyal fans since stepping out in his incredible dress for Vogue, with many praising him and his fellow male stars for breaking the gender binary.
The X Factor star told Vogue at the time: “There’s so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I’ve never thought too much about what it means – it just becomes this extended part of creating something.”
He added: “As a kid I definitely liked fancy dress” – and wearing tights for a school play was “crazy” to the star.
“That was maybe where it all kicked off!”
