A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton was involved in a car accident at the beginning of the week while in Spain.

The presenter, 40, was filming an episode of the Channel 4 property hunting show when the accident occurred and revealed it’s the first time she’s ever had a car crash while abroad.

The TV star insisted no injuries were sustained in the “minor” incident, however admitted it still left her feeling “pretty rubbish”.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (April 5), Laura shared several playful behind the scenes clips from her time filming in the sunny location alongside a lengthy paragraph explaining how “life isn’t always rosy”.

In view of her 179,000 followers, she wrote: “The start of this week actually got off to a pretty sh**ty start… unfortunately (and for the first time ever abroad) I had a car accident as I was on the way to our first property…”

Laura explained: “Before anything is over dramatised, it was a minor incident and more importantly no one was hurt. However, I still felt pretty rubbish…

“However, I think it’s important in life to always focus on the positive and whilst I felt rubbish, I had to keep smiling. I had to ensure my house hunters had the best time with me and lots of fun whilst we looked for their dream holiday home.”

Referencing the episode they’re currently filming, he mum-of-two added: “The search isn’t over yet but I think it’s been a successful one so far and we have certainly had a lot of laughs.”

It wasn’t long before Laura’s comments were filled with supportive messages from fans, with one writing: “Glad you’re ok! Stay positive”.

“So sorry to hear about your accident and really hope you’re ok,” added a second person.

Another user echoed: “Glad you are OK and look forward to seeing the episode,” while a fourth shared: “Hope you’re ok. The couple will be having a great time and we can’t wait to watch”.
