Amanda Holden branded ‘deluded’ as she makes bold Britain’s Got Talent 2023 statement

Amanda Holden has been told she’s “off her head” by Britain’s Got Talent viewers after she made a strong statement about the current series.

The 52-year-old star was back on the judging panel on Friday (June 2) alongside Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.

At the top of the show, she claimed that the 2023 season of the ITV show had “strongest line-up in years”.

After Amanda’s claims, viewers rushed to their keyboards to disagree with the radio presenter.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “I’ve got to disagree Amanda. This year has been worst yet. I think Britain Got Talent has run it legs.”

Another added: “Amanda: One of the strongest line ups in years” Off her head. It’s been shocking this year.”

A third person posed: “Sorry Amanda no this has been one of the weakest years we have had on.”

“@BGT did Amanda just say this series has had the best talent, so deluded, what planet is she on #BGT #BGT2023,” a fourth person agreed.

Elsewhere in the show, hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were forced to halt the live semi-final show to tell Simon off after he appeared to make a savage dig at his female judges and co-stars.

Starting the show tonight was dance act Romeo and Icy – and despite the audience, and Simon, loving their performance – the other judges were not.

As Alesha started to give her critique on the two lads, Simon started mimicking a cat and spoke into his microphone.

“For me in terms of dance level I’m looking for, I still don’t think it’s good enough to win the show,” Alesha said – causing an uproar from the audience.

As they all booed, Alesha quipped: “It’s just a personal taste.”

But when it was Amanda turn’s to share her thoughts, Simon wasn’t done – and proceeded to make cat noises.

And it appeared Simon’s dig riled up ITV bosses as Ant and Dec were then forced to tell the music mogul off.

“Simon doing cat noises, too funny” said one viewer, as another quipped: “Simon making cat noises was cringey as f**k!”
