Ant and Dec tease biggest Saturday Night Takeaway series yet before extended break

Ant and Dec are planning the biggest series of Saturday Night Takeaway in its history for 2024.

The run will be their last before an extended break – so they are going all out to make it TV gold.

Ant McPartlin said: “We want it to be the biggest send-off because we’re resting it for a while, so everybody we haven’t managed to get on in the last few years we’re going to try our hardest to get on.

“It’s going to be a massive celebration as well because it’s been running 20 years, so we’re going to bring old things back, we’ve got brand-new stuff.

“We’ve got lots of things planned and we’re going to have a lot of fun doing it.”

Declan Donnelly added about signing up top stars: “We always get the name.

“Sometimes it takes a little while.

A lot of the time it’s not because they don’t want to do the show – it’s diaries and stuff like that.

“So we’ve gone very, very early this year with a lot of people – put a lot of calls out.

“A lot of people have said yes, which is very good, but it is going to be a huge celebration of not just the 20th series but also brand-new stuff – we want to go out on a high and give it a rest.

“I’m not giving you any of the names – all of the above!”

At the National Television Awards 2023 on Tuesday night (September 5), the Britain’s Got Talent and I’m a Celebrity duo continued their unrivalled string of victories in the Best TV Presenter category.
