Big Brother finalists ‘sealed’ as winner Craig Phillips predicts series winner

Big Brother winner Craig Phillips has predicted which housemates will make it through to the live final following the conclusion of the first week of the ITV reboot.

Fans of the reality show will remember the humble builder from Liverpool who won the first series of the TV show back in the year 2000 when the show was presented by Davina McCall. Since then, the star has gone on to host a series of renovation shows and has launched his own YouTube channel Mr. DIY where he shares 60 second DIY tips for improving your home.

In 2016, the broadcaster met his wife Laura and tied the knot at Peckforton Castle in February 2018, going on to welcome their two children Nelly and Lennon. Now, the TV hunk has partnered up with home assistance provider HomeServe to share some of the nation’s biggest home problems in the lead up to winter.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the doting dad has lifted the lid on who he thinks could go the distance in the rebooted social experiment series. He told us: “We’ve got some characters in there haven’t we? They’ve [the producers] really ticked all the boxes to get everyone from different walks of life which I think is great, but the fellas are standing out to me.”

When asked which housemates he could see making it to the final, he narrowed the list down to four contestants. Craig explained: “I like Paul, I mean I’m from Liverpool so I’m naturally gonna like him. I like the young lad Zak as well from Manchester.

“I felt he was good at engaging with the group of housemates, so I think if I lived in there, they’d be the type of people I’d like to spend time with. He was interested in and concerned about all the others in the house.

“And Dylan the DJ, I liked the look of him when I saw him on his way in. I thought he’s gonna bring a nice level of energy to the house you know that people want to be around. Certainly me personally, I would want to be around him.

The builder believes Kerry will help support other housemates

“I like Kerry as well, the NHS worker. There’s a couple of people in there that, especially the young girl Olivia who struggled with the situation she was put into, I felt as if Kerry was a mother figure. She just looking out for people and she’s gonna be the one that gives people good advice and kind of rein them in a bit if you get out of control or if they get a bit upset.

“So I think those four stood out to me as the housemates that I’d like to spend time with, and I can definitely see them going far in the competition.” It comes after TikTok star Farida was eliminated from the competition on Friday night (October 13) after she received eight nominations.

She told the live crowd: “I had the most amazing time. Thank you everyone for making the effort and coming today.” Kerry from Essex also found herself in danger when she received the second highest number of nominations at a staggering five votes.

Following his success on Big Brother, the star has since become a hugely successful builder and bricklayer who has launched a TV career in home renovation. The doting husband is now partnering up with HomeServe to help residents tackle some of the most common faults homeowners face in the winter.

Craig has created a range of ‘Diary Room’ style videos to show Brits how to fix common issues such as broken down boilers, cold radiators and plumbing complaints as we enter into the colder months.

He said: “We should feel peace of mind in our own home, and I want to inspire the nation to tackle their fixes, rather than delay them and incur a larger bill down the road.

“My how-to videos aim to give homeowners the confidence to tackle their big bothers by following a simple step-by-step guide.” To view these videos, visit their website here.

Big Brother airs on weekdays on ITV2 from 9pm or stream it live on ITVX.
