After the scenes aired, viewers flocked straight to social media to share their reaction to the shocking confession.

One astonished viewer flagged: “Watching Alice Levine’s Sex Actually and this couple having sex in the dog kennel is an image I don’t want to think about.”

Another tweeted: “Not this couple on Sex Actually acting like dogs. This is crazy,” as a third penned: “Sex Actually is wild today. This lady sleeps in the dog kennel. No way.”

In the show, Alice walked into the bedroom and spotted a dog kennel, to which she asked the couple: “I didn’t know you had a dog.”

Instantly stopping her, one-half of the polyamorous couple quickly quipped: “We don’t. That’s for me. Like I take naps in there”, to which Alice added: “Wait, what do you mean?”

The homeowner then encouraged Alice to get into the kennel herself and give it a go at “acting” like a dog, to which viewers’ surprise, she confessed: “Yeah, it’s really comfortable. There you go. There you go.”

Alice then asked the couple: “What kind of things would be happening if I wasn’t here,”

To which the male quipped: “We’d be doing a pet scene. We tried to f**k in here once, but it’s not very easy. We got stuck in the groove.”
