Chris Rock calls police after catching lurker peeping into home and taking snaps

Chris Rock, 58, called the police after an incident with a Peeping Tom who attempted to take a picture of him while he was in his home.

The Hollywood actor and comedian was at his gaff in the Manhattan region of New York City after he found a lurker peaking through his window, revealed law enforcement to TMZ.

After being startled by the unknown figure, the actor reportedly called the police for help after the actor’s fire escape allowed the man to get right up to his window.

According to the outlet, New York Police Department cops swiftly arrived at Chris’s home, but it was already too late as the man suddenly exited as soon as the actor spotted him on the fire escape.

They shared how the unknown figure, who is believed to be in his 20s and who wore a dark jacket, jumped down to the ground from the fire escape, though it is unclear how far he would have fallen.

The sources added that a police report was made, and the NYPD is reportedly still investigating the matter.

It’s been more than a year since the infamous ‘slapgate’ scandal at the Oscars in 2022, where Will Smith got on stage and slapped Chris Rock for insulting his wife.

Chris found himself on the receiving end of Will’s right hand after making a gag about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hairstyle, comparing it to G.I Jane – despite knowing she suffers from alopecia.

Chris Rock didn’t comment on the slap until recently when he released a Netflix comedy special called Selective Outrage and devoted an entire segment to Slapgate.

In his new special, Chris claimed his joke was made in response to Jada Pinkett Smith’s desire for him to “quit” the Oscars.

He said: “Years ago, his wife said I should quit the Oscars. I shouldn’t host ’cause her man didn’t get nominated for Concussion. And then he gives me a f***ing concussion.”
