Coronation Street Paul health fears as he's sent for further tests over medical issue

Coronation Street favourite Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) is sent for further test next week as his health takes a turn for the worst.

When Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) suggests it’s time Paul moved in, will Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul agree to give their relationship another go?

When Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) confides in Paul that the wedding venue is demanding full payment up front or the whole thing’s off, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) overhears him on the phone to the bank.

When Paul reveals that there’s been no improvement in his hand, Dr Gaddas (Christine Mackie) refers him to a neurologist.

Having taken a call from Dee-Dee asking for a witness statement, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) visits Paul and orders him to back off and stop using Carla Barlow’s (Alison King) mental health problems for his own financial gain.

Paul assures him that’s not the case but Peter accuses him of faking his injuries.

The neurologist tells Paul that he’s sending him for further scans but the problems he’s experiencing are unlikely to have been caused by the accident.

Paul’s left shocked as Dee-Dee confirms that if that’s the case he won’t be entitled to compensation.

Carla hit Paul with the Underworld van in recent scenes after being drugged with LSD by Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce).

Paul was knocked unconscious and rushed to hospital last month.

While the doctors declared Paul to be fine, he has since developed symptoms of a more persistent injury.

Paul found himself struggling to pick up darts during a recent game, which went unnoticed by Billy and Dee-Dee.

When he did manage to throw them, he hit Evelyn Plummer’s (Maurren Lipman) hat instead of the dart board, causing a huge outburst from her.

Fans at home were left worried for Paul after noticing a sudden decline in his health following the crash.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Poor Paul has either got a brain injury or a tumour.”

Another added: “There is something wrong with Paul.”

A third person said: “Paul going to have a relapse something not been picked up, after his accident.”

While a fourth social media user posted: “What’s wrong with Paul?”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX
