Dawson’s Creek hero Joshua Jackson details ‘voyeur’ wife’s kinky response to sex scenes

Actor Joshua Jackson has suggested his wife has a kinky streak, branding her a “voyeur” over her response to his racy sex scenes.

The Dawson’s Creek favourite, who played Pacey Witter in the cult 1990s TV show, plays the lead in upcoming TV series Fatal Attraction, based on the 1988 erotic thriller starring Glenn Close and Michael Douglas.

In the show, he features in more than one steamy sex scene – but it’s not a problem for his wife, Brit Jodie Turner-Smith.

He told Variety: “Jodie is not fussed about my sex scenes. The sex scenes themselves, Jodie kind of enjoys them, actually.

“It’s a weird thing where she’s like a voyeur. So that works! If that’s your thing — excellent.”

Jackson, 44, stars in Fatal Attraction with Lizzy Caplan, Amanda Peet, and Alyssa Jirrels. It’s due for release on Paramount+ on April 30.

He said sex scenes were important to “further the narrative.”

He added: “You have to believe that these people want to f*** each other.'”

Turner-Smith, meanwhile, has given her husband’s performances in bed on screen the seal of approval.

She told Vanity Fair: “I can’t wait to see my husband f***ing on screen again.”

Referencing his performance in one particularly racy drama, she asked: “Did you watch The Affair? I’m like, ‘Let’s go.’”

“Affairs aren’t about the partner, they’re about the person who has transgressed. It’s not purely about the sex. There’s a deeper violation.'”

On settling down, he added: “Partially it’s age. I’m old enough to be able to do this. Partially it’s about finding somebody in the right moment of life.”

Jackson and Turner-Smith got tied the knot in 2019 and have a three-year-old daughter, Janie.
