Dwayne Johnson's mum survives horror car crash as he shares heartfelt 'miracle' message

Dwayne Johnson, 54, has reported that his mum was involved in a horrifying car accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday (February 1) night.

The Rock took to Instagram revealing that Ata, 74, is doing ‘ok’ following the incident, and thanked God she had survived the ordeal.

The 50-year old wrestler-turned-actor shared a snap of Ata’s red Cadillac, which had been mashed up on the passenger’s side from the impact of the collision.

Addressing his 361 million followers in a lengthy post, Dwayne wrote: “Thank you God. She’s ok. Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night. She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated.

“This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted suicide. She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real.

“Thank you LAPD & LAFD for being so caring & focused. Thanks for staying on phone and talking me thru it all.”

Dwayne, who lost his dad Rocky – a former wrestler himself – in 2020 to a pulmonary embolism urged his fans to not take their parents for granted.

He continued: “I got one parent left, so if you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ‘em hard, cos you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get.”

Fans were quick to wish Ata well, meanwhile, with one commenting: “Sending prayers for her recovery from any pain or trauma. Wholeheartedly agree on that though, we really never know. In 2015 the state police came over and informed us my brother was killed in a crash. Lost control on the interstate. I’m so glad your mom has endured, and continue to endure.

Another wrote: “Your mother is such a warrior. I’m so glad that she’s ok.”

A third added: “Oh my… so glad your Mom is alive. We can replace cars not people. Prayers for a speedy recovery.”

And a fourth said: “Glad she’s okay, Rock. Life is precious, and it’s so easy to take for granted but we should stay grateful.”
