EastEnders in major schedule shake-up as George Knight’s secret finally revealed

EastEnders has landed in a major schedule shake-up as the truth about George Knight (Colin Salmon) is finally exposed.

Ever since the newcomer arrived in Albert Square with his daughters, fans have been desperate to find out what happened to his ex-wife who allegedly walked out on the family eight years prior.

The BBC soap has now confirmed all will be revealed this week, with the broadcaster switching up the soap’s usual schedule on Wednesday and Thursday to make way for the bombshell revelation.

Normally, EastEnders airs on BBC iPlayer on Monday to Thursday before being shown on BBC One at 7:30.

However, on Wednesday (June 21) and Thursday (June 22), EastEnders will air on both BBC One and iPlayer at 7:30, allowing audiences to watch the chaos unfold together and avoid spoilers being shared.

During Monday’s episode (June 19), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) enlisted the help of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to get to the bottom of what George was hiding, sharing her suspicions that he murdered his wife.

Wanting to put Linda’s mind at rest, Phil asked Callum to search the police data base and dig up what he could on Rose.

Despite George’s relatively clean record, Callum’s investigation led him down a mysterious path when all access was denied when he looked up Rose.

Later, Callum was rattled when DCI Nicholls from the Serious Crimes Operation knocked on his door and warned him to forget the name Rose Knight.

Meanwhile, Phil invited George to spar at the Boxing Den and asked him directly about his ex-wife.

Insisting there was nothing to tell, George convinced Phil that Linda’s got him all wrong.

But when Phil returned to The Vic and discovered how Callum was warned about Rose, he was furious that George lied to his face.
