EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick ‘fumes’ as Danielle Harold shares cosy snap with fans

EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick was left unimpressed after his co-star Danielle Harold posted a cosy snap of them on social media.

The actor, who plays Jay Brown, posed for pictures arm in arm with his co-stars as they attended the British Soap Awards on June 3.

Danielle paid tribute to her EastEnders team with a series of pictures from the event on Instagram this week.

Starting with a picture of Max Bowden ( Ben Mitchell), she wrote: “My rock always finds his light well makes a change from standing in mine @bowden5.”

She then stood next to Jamie in a group photo and said: “Love these boys a bit too much.”

Bowden said with a heart emoji: “Look at the gang.”

However, Jamie replied: “Yea Borth a bit fume you’ve posted this cos not looking his finest.”

But fans were quick to squash his claims and told him how “handsome” he looked.

One said: “Handsome as usual.”

Another joked: “No one looking their finest next to bae @danielle_harold.”

Jamie and Danielle parted ways on-screen after their characters enjoyed a last day at the seaside before she died of a brain tumour.

During the final episode, Jay emotionally explained how his wife would come back as a fox due to her “sassy, scrappy and sexy” personality.

In later scenes, fans spotted a fox running through the streets of Albert Square as Jay and Lexi mourned her death.

Speaking about his plans for his exit one day, Jamie said: “Well, I can’t do any better than hers (Danielle Harold), can I? So fine, kill me off. In the monologue which I say to her [before she dies], I say I’ll be a rat and you can be a fox, and then there’s going to be a clip.

“I will sacrifice never coming back to EastEnders again just so we can have a fox and a rat rummaging through the bins as my final clip.

“I would sacrifice that for this soap, that’s how giving I am. Kill me off just for that, I don’t need to work ever again just for that, for that one scene.”
