Emmerdale viewers were left distracted during the latest episode as Boby Hope (Tony Audenshaw) opened up about his latest health diagnosis.

The fan favourite collapsed in recent scenes of the ITV soap and was rushed to hospital.

He became enraged after spotting partner Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) with Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), assuming they were continuing their affair.

Bob punched Liam but later suffered a heart attack and the village doctor was forced to use a defibrillator to save his life.

He ended up having stent surgery and it was later revealed that Bob had been suffering from erectile dysfunction.

Eric Pollard visited Bob in hospital during Thursday’s (August 16) episode and his pal opened up about the issue.

Bob told Eric: “my trusty sword has failed me” as he tried to hint at his ED diagnosis.

Viewers watching the ITV soap at home were left in stitches and rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to discuss the hilarious scene.
