Emmerdale's Dawn star declares love for co-star as she quits soap after 11 years

Emmerdale actress Olivia Bromley has declared her love for her now former co-star Fiona Wade, who left her role of Priya Kotecha after 11 years last week.

Olivia, who plays Dawn Taylor, was one of many Emmerdale stars who attended Fiona’s leaving party last week and shared her love on Instagram.

Fiona shared an emotional goodbye on her profile as well as a montage of photos from her party, which featured her co-stars past and present.

Commenting underneath, Olivia wrote: “We love you! So so missed. Onwards!”

Fiona replied: “Thank you babe,” and added a loved-up emoji.

Also in the photos were the likes of Chris Bisson, Rebecca Sarker, Eden Taylor-Draper and Isabel Hodgins, among others.

Fiona said in the caption: “It’s been the most incredible 11 years playing Priya Sharma so saying goodbye to my Emmerdale family wasn’t easy.

“I have loved playing Priya and I am so thankful to Emmerdale and ITV for the incredible opportunities that they have given me over so many years.”

She went on: “So many wonderful memories and such a gift of a job.”

Fiona thanked the crew behind the scenes as well as the many friends she’s made on the job – including her Sharme family.

Tagging Chris Bisson, Bhasker Patel, Rebecca Sarker and Rik Makarem, she wrote: “You know how much I love you… Thank you for everything!”

She finished: “And to all the Emmerdale viewers thank you for all your support over the years.”

Actor Rik, who played Sharma brother Nikhil, hasn’t been seen on Emmerdale since 2016 however with his attendance at Fiona’s party, it’s clear they have remained close.

Rebecca Sarker, who plays Priya’s ex-step-mum Manpreet, wrote: “I’m gone [crying emoji] The Thelma to my Louise, my boogie buddy, my work and play bestie. Love you.”

Mackenzie Boyd actor Lawrence Robb commented: “What a delish human you are! Love you loads! Fly Fi – fly!”
