Good Morning America scandals – affair, off-air tension, sexual assault claims

Last year Good Morning America was shaken to its core when the news of the affair between co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes was released. The hosts were axed from the show after photos surfaced of them holding hands, something which occurred as Robach and Holmes were seemingly still married to Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig.

A source has since revealed that their relationship only began after their marriages ended. The source told People: “This was two consenting adults who were each separated.

“They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other. The relationship didn’t start until after that.”

For a long time, it has been rumoured that there is a “feud” between lead anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. It reportedly came to blows in August 2021 over claims of sexual assault by a Good Morning America producer.

According to a report by The Daily Beast, they all discussed the issue on a group call and Robin allegedly said: “If this happened to someone on my team, I would have burned the place down.”

The comment is said to have been directed at George because the woman who made the claim worked closely with him at the time.
