Helen Mirren looks almost unrecognisable with a stunning blue hair transformation

Dame Helen Mirren debuts new hair transformation at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

The actress is known for her stellar roles in hit films such as The Queen, Gosford Park as well as her character of Magdalene “Queenie” Shaw in the Fast and Furious franchise.

But the Oscar winning actress flaunted her bold new hair colour as she attended the opening ceremony at the Palais des Festivals in the iconic French city.

But the BAFTA winning actress made sure all eyes were on her as she walked the carpet wearing a stunning outfit.

The star turned heads when she showed up sporting a striking Marie Antoinette-style bouffant hairdo that was blue in colour to match her figure-hugging frock.

She made sure to set tongues wagging as she opted for a similar colour pastel blue dress.

Helen flaunted her ageless figure as she posed in her floor length gown with a plunging V-neckline.

The Red actress made sure to put all the emphasis on her hair and dress as she opted for natural looking make-up.

However she accessorised her look with a red and blue tie-dye hair clips, a diamond chain choker necklace and jaw dropping drop down earrings with three individual studs a piece

She kept up the French theme by playfully clutching her wooden hand-fan whilst flashing a smile for photographers.

This comes after she previously railed against ageism in the beauty industry as she looked to defy conventional beauty standards.
