Home and Away’s Jacqui Purvis wants Felicity to have ‘really intense and gory’ death

Home and Away star Jacqui Purvis revealed her preferred ending for Felicity Newman, and it certainly isn’t a happy one.

The actress joined the cast of the long-running Aussie soap in 2021 and has become the centre of several dramatic storylines since arriving in Summer Bay.

Earlier this year, Felicity was preparing to marry Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) but became involved in a serious car accident on the way to the wedding.

Following the horrific crash, which left several residents severely injured, Felicity turned to alcohol to cope with her trauma and ended her relationship with Tane.

But the pair eventually found their way back to each other and confirmed their engagement was back on during Wednesday’s instalment (May 10) of the Channel 5 soap.

Despite their reunion, Felicity and Tane’s happiness may not last long if Jacqui has anything to do with it.

Speaking previously to Yahoo! Lifestyle, the blonde beauty admitted she wants to exit the show with a bang.

She told the publication: “[I’d want to be] killed off… I want a really dramatic death, like a really, intense, gory, like everyone’s crying death.”

When asked about how long she planned on staying in Summer Bay, the Aussie star made sure not to give too much away.

“Who knows?” she replied.

Jacqui added: “I mean, you get offered this role, this experience and as an actor, it’s incredible… you’re acting every day, which is an actor’s dream and having a consistent job is very rare in this industry.”

Discussing her character’s upcoming nuptials, the actress admitted it was “really weird” because being married is something she hasn’t experienced in her own life.

“It was cool, but also really weird, because It’s such a moment in someone’s life and I haven’t been married before,” she explained.

Jacqui continued: “I was like, I just have nothing to connect to… I have nothing to use as a reference. So I was trying to work out, yeah, how would you act in a wedding?”

Home and Away airs 1:45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6:30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
