ITV Love Island’s Scott takes brutal swipe at champs Sammy and Jess after recent split

Love Island hunk Scott van-der-Sluis took a savage swipe at co-stars Sammy Root and Jess Harding following their recent break-up.

The 22-year-old recently returned from the United States after he struggled to find love just weeks after he finished the UK series. Now, the star has lifted the lid on his time on the ITV reality shows and dished the dirt on who he really thinks should have won.

When the hunk was asked about Sammy and Jess parting ways on the Saving Grace podcast, he revealed: “I don’t think anyone truly didn’t expect it. “Out of the four couples, for me at the time, I thought that the other three were stronger.”

He went on to share his show when the winning duo stole the crown, adding: “Yes, in terms of the Love Island story, it should’ve been Ella and Ty. Ty obviously being a player coming into the villa, Ella probably doing a little bit of the same thing.

“Both struggling with feelings, Ty especially struggling with his feelings. And then suddenly, he’s an absolute loverboy.” Later on in the podcast, Scott shared the real reason why he joined Love Island USA so quickly after he left the ITV villa.

He confessed: “Put a figure in front of me and I was like, I’m gonna do it. I was just there for a laugh and some money.” It comes it was announced that the footballer will be competing on Love Island Games next week.

The spinoff series will bring a series of ex-islanders from across the globe together for another chance at romance. Heartthrobs set to return to the famous villa include Eyal Booker, Curtis Pritchard, Megan Barton-Hanson and Georgia Steel.
