ITV The Chase star Jenny Ryan ‘disappointed’ as fans blast ‘repetitive and boring’ trend

The Chase star Jenny Ryan has joined fans in blasting what fans have called a “repetitive” and “boring” element of the ITV gameshow.

Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan headed up the latest episode of the show with long-standing host Bradley Walsh at the helm as she took on four new hopefuls all vying to take home a cash prize. But as the players took on the Vixen in a head-to-head, with having showcased their impressive general knowledge skills, they were all offered very generous high offers.

Jenny, who said she was feeling “very generous” offered one player £90k and another £106k. The players have the option to take the higher offer, stick with the offer they earned in their cash builder round, or take the lower offer and buy more distance from the chaser.

But despite their good performances, not one player chose go high, as fans point out they rarely ever take a risk and go high in the game. “£106k once in a lifetime opportunity. Don’t think these contestants lately want life changing money.

“Tonight’s #TheChase, as much as I’m happy for them, they could have won a hell of a lot more money if someone would have had the balls to go high.” Another added: “Reason people get so annoyed when these people refuse very generous big offers is because it ultimately just makes #TheChase very repetitive and boring.

Bradley even chimed in on the issue

“It’s obv not staged, but sometimes that makes it more dull, odd as that sounds.” Jenny Ryan even agreed, saying: “I’m a little bit disappointed and this is a good team and I think at least one of them should have gone high.” Brad them joked: “we’ve offered this team now nearly £22million.” Another fan commented on a player on a recent episode who shockingly chose to take an offer of minus £4k, despite having won £7k in her cash builder round.

The fan blasted: “Or you see stupid sh*t like yesterday when a contestant had a great cash builder and took an offer of -£4000. It’s like when a football team holds back a defends for ages after scoring 1 early goal. Playing it safe. Boring to watch, even if it MAY secure a win. #TheChase
