ITV’s I’m A Celeb’s Sam Thompson lied to TV bosses as he ignored show rule during final

Pete Wicks has revealed Sam Thompson ignored a crucial rule from TV bosses as he was crowned winner of this year’s hit series, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

The reality star duo returned to their podcast, Staying Relevant for the first time since Sam’s epic ITV win. During the episode, Pete, 35, and Sam, 31, discussed what it was like in Australia as they gave their listeners insight into what took place behind the scenes.

TOWIE star Pete, who flew to Australia to support Sam also revealed that the excited Made In Chelsea star failed to adhere to strict instructions regarding the famous bridge. Sam was told not to jump when he was reunited with Pete on the unstable bridge.

However as he became increasingly excited over his victory, Sam failed to listen. Explaining what happened, Pete said: “Yeah, what the funniest part of that is before you get a producer who will have said to Sam on the other end of the bridge, Sam would have been told to stand on a star and Pete is going to come and meet you. Do not JUMP.”

Pete revealed that he spoke to a producer before the emotional scenes who said Sam promised that he wouldn’t jump due to the bridge being “rickety” and too high. He continued: “She said, he’s promised me he’s not going to jump.

“So Sam jumps. We then get a little bit carried away, but I’m supporting both of our body weight on this bridge.”

Pete went on to explain that he lost is balance, He explained: “They say you can have your hug but you need to turn around so we can get a shot of both of your faces on the bridge. But at that point, I lost my balance. I had to grab the f***ing bridge to stop us going over, I nearly died!” He added.

Pete also made sure he shut down any romance rumours, as the star was linked to a few famous faces during his Aussie visit. The reality star was spotted getting cosy with EastEnders star Danielle Harold, as well as enjoying a night out with Nick Pickard’s girlfriend Sarah Corrin.

On the latest episode of his podcast, Pete spoke candidly about the rumours. He also insisted he didn’t “sh** anyone’s wife.”
