Jade Goody’s mum has heartbreaking reaction to Bobby Brazier joining BBC Strictly

The mum of Big Brother star Jade Goody reportedly mentioned that watching her late daughter’s son, Bobby Brazier, who is also an EastEnders star, perform live on Strictly Come Dancing will be akin to seeing Jade herself on screen once again.

Jackiey Budden shared this heartrending revelation following Bobby’s disclosure that he would be participating as a contestant on the BBC dancing competition.

The 64-year-old grandmother expressed her immense joy at having the opportunity to witness Bobby thrive on the dance floor, remarking that she was thrilled beyond words.

Jackiey told The Mirror : “I’m over the moon and he’s just stepped in his mum’s shoes — he’s in Jade’s trotters.

“He’s been born to bring Jade back as himself, because he’s the spit of Jade — he’s got his daddy’s head.

“It will be like watching her on telly.”

Bobby was born on 2 June 2003 and is the son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier and Jade.

Jackiey reportedly revealed that she had been maintaining a strong bond with her grandson, but due to his demanding work schedule as an actor, it was a challenge for him to visit her frequently at her residence in South London.

Given that the BBC One soap is filmed in Hertfordshire, the geographical distance seemingly did not facilitate as frequent meetings between the two family members as they might have wished.

Jackiey explained: “He has to get up at 5am for EastEnders sometimes, so he’s always on the go.

“We always text though which is lovely.

“He likes to keep an eye on his nana, just like Freddie does.”

Freddie is Jeff and Jade’s second son who was born in 2004.

In 2009, aged just 27, Jade tragically passed away following a battle with cervical cancer – a devastating diagnosis she famously received on TV.
