Jake Quickenden’s wife is ‘bored’ of seeing him naked and tells him to ‘put clothes on’

Jake Quickenden claims his wife is “bored” of seeing him in the nude.

The 34-year-old star has just landed a new role on stage in the musical theatre production of The Full Monty.

He spoke to Daily Star at an event held in association with Slingo, where we asked what his wife Sophie thought of his nude antics.

Jake laughed: “Soph sees it every single day, she’s like ‘Put some bloody clothes on!'”

The TV personality also shared how much of an “honour” it was for him to land the new role, as he managed to beat off some top industry rivals.

Jake said: “It’s a bit of an honour to do it. With the rehearsal process, I had to do four auditions and I was in the room with really good actors from the TV and then when I got it I was like ‘Woah’. There were some really good people and I was buzzing when I got it.”

But does it mean he has to bare all?

He quipped: “We’ve asked a few questions if it’s full out – it’s The Full Monty so I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be.

“Though if they looked at it, they wouldn’t be paying me double.”

“It is the second show I actually got naked in, I got naked in Hair, not Hairspray, it was about hippies in the 60s as part of the revolution, we had to all get naked.

“I’m a veteran at this point.”

He joked: “It’s a bit daunting, but it is what it is, it’s not like I’m going to be windmilling around.”

“I’m playing Guy, the gay guy who is the only one who can really dance a little bit. And I can’t wait actually.”

Jake also featured on the X Factor two times before heading onto other TV shows such as I’m A Celeb and Celebrity SAS.

With its pending future and a return to screens on the cards, we asked who he thinks should be on the new judging panel.

He answered: You can’t get rid of Simon, he’s part of the furniture, I’d love to see Cheryl again.

“I’d love to be on the panel but I can’t judge anyone I came 13th. So, Simon, Cheryl, me, and Elton John. He’d be class, you need someone who has had a massive career.”
