Katie Price booed by fans while singing A Whole New World during latest panto performance

Katie Price received a bunch of boos during her performance of the iconic track, A Whole New World, during her recent panto performance.

The mum-of-five sparked quite a reaction as she stared in Sleeping Beauty as the villainous character Carabosse, at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena. In a shocking TikTok video uploaded by an audience member, Katie was met with a surprising chorus of boos from the audience.

However, the boos were not aimed at Katie’s singing abilities, which have been criticized in the past. In true panto fashion, the audience was actually expressing their disapproval of her wicked on-stage character.

When a curious commenter asked if the crowd was booing Katie herself, the original poster clarified, “Haha, no, her character.” In fact, Katie received some praise from fans in the comments section.

One user shared, “I absolutely love her.” Another fan declared, “She’s a legend; long live the Price.” A third chimed in: “It’s nice to see something positive about her; she deserves it. Everyone deserves a second chance.”

This isn’t Katie’s first time singing the Disney classic. She previously performed it alongside her ex-partner Peter Andre during a live BBC Children In Need concert in 2005. The song was also released as a single as part of their duet album.

As the final shows approach, theater management has been making efforts to fill seats by offering fans a two-for-one deal on all tickets for the December 30th performance.

Katie’s theatrical journey hasn’t been without its bumps. She faced the possibility of a theater ban after being caught vaping, and one of her castmates recently playfully teased her about her £60K payday for the role, joking that she had only memorized two of her 25 lines.

The star, who was once worth a whopping £45million, was declared bankrupt back in November 2019. Katie’s panto comeback was revealed back in January, with a source telling The Mirror at the time: “She’s most excited about landing a massive role in a pantomime.

“Katie loves to sing and perform, and panto is something she’s always been a fan of, so this is a dream come true. “She has a range of new projects and businesses that she’s working on, and she’s got an accessories business in the pipeline, too.”

Katie last took part in a pantomime in 2015, when she played the Wicked Fairy in a production of Sleeping Beauty.
