Love Island fans predict Tanya and Shaq will be first couple to 'split' outside villa

Love Island fans reckon they have worked out that Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga will be the first couple to split after leaving the villa.

The couple were placed fourth in the final, with airport security officer Shaq telling host Maya Jama that he felt like he’d “already won” after falling in love with biomedical student Tanya.

Despite having their ups and downs in the villa, including Tanya’s recoupling with Casa Amor bombshell Martin Akinola, the pair reunited and became official – with Shaq telling Maya: “It wasn’t nice to see but obviously we’re all here to find love and I found that.”

Tanya also added: “I feel like me and Shaq have something amazing.”

However, some fans of the ITV2 reality dating series have predicted that the couple may be the first to split outside the villa, following their rocky relationship on the programme.

One said: “Shaq and Tanya will split before the reunion, I’m calling it now,” followed by a screengrab of Martin Akinola eating popcorn during movie night.

“I think Shaq and Tanya will not last long as soon as they leave the villa. They’ll do couple interviews once they’re out and then I know 1/2 months in they will split,” agreed a second.

“Probs the first couple split up,” said another followed by an eye-roll emoji, while a fourth added: “I’ll give Shaq and Tanya three months in the real world before they split up again.”

“100% will be the first couple to split outside the villa,” said a fifth.

Not all viewers agreed though, with one saying: “You can’t deny that Tanya and Shaq have the most chemistry and clearly do actually love each other.”

“Tanya and Shaq definitely had the best speeches. They were so cute,” agreed a second.

A third added: “Tanya and Shaq look so good together,” while fourth penned: “Even if they don’t win, they will always be my winning couple.”

Tanya and Shaq came fourth behind Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, with Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall placed in second.

Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan were subsequently crowned the winners of Winter Love Island 2023, taking home an eye-watering £50,000 cash prize.
