Love Island’s Lacey Edwards has lifted the lid on the ITV audition process and revealed secret Zoom dates stars go on.

The brunette bombshell has shared the ins and outs of the Love Island audition process during a Daily Star Facebook Live chat.

Talking about her initiation, Lacey said: “I really enjoyed the audition process and I was like ‘ok, I’ll go on the show’. So, I applied and filled out the form in January.

“I have got quite an interesting life as I’ve lived all over the world and had funny dating stories, so my friends were like ‘you’d be perfect’.

“Then I got to the next round which is a phone call with someone and if they like you then you get another email. Then I did a Zoom date with someone, then I went in to do a medical and psych evaluation.

“I went in to meet producers and after that, the wait was really long and I found out at the end of April I was going in.”

When quizzed further on the Zoom date and asked if it was with another Islander, Lacey explained: “No it was with one of the casting people. They say ‘it’s a little date and you’re going to tell me stories’ and my guy was really fit so it was amazing.”

Lacey also revealed she was “messed around” by ITV producers during the early stages of the show.

The stunning showgirl entered the villa in the final fortnight with the last set of bombshells but was by bosses she would be the first.

Lacey told us: “When the show approached me, I was living in France and working as a showgirl and I quit my whole life to be a bombshell on the show.

“I was meant to go in as the first bombshell then it went later and my flight kept getting delayed.

She added: “It was upsetting because I would have rather have been told ‘we’re thinking you’re going to come on as the last bombshell’ just so I could have made the decision if it was going to be worth it.

“But no, I wouldn’t have done it.”
