Love Island star Jessie Wynter unrecognisable in Australian version of dating show

Love Island fans think Aussie bombshell Jessie Wynter looked unrecognisable in her promo photos for the Australian spin-off of the show.

When Jessie appeared on the Down Under series of Love Island, she featured with bright blonde locks and seems to have a rounder face.

Fans were divided as they tried to determine what had changed since she appeared on the show back in 2019.

“She looks so different but couldn’t put my finger on it,” one fan wrote. “But she is a few years older and darker haired!”

“I think the more natural looking caramel coloured hair suits her complexion really well! I like it better than the bright blonde on her,” a second put.

A third added: “I mean I think she looks and acts older? I don’t think either change is bad or diminishes what she’s doing in the villa.”

Another Reddit user explained that Jessie was more “reserved” this season and appears to have put her “wilder” side to bed for the UK version.

“She seems way more reserved this season. I feel like she was a bit wilder in Aus. And she was playing the field hard. New guy every week,” they wrote.

A second suggested: “Maybe she’s outgrown her wild side?”

Another wrote that the way Jessie “acted” in the Australian version of the series shows that she “wouldn’t be interested” in Will.

“I’m just binging season 2 and noticing that Jessie on this season does not seem at all like she’d ever be interested in someone like Will,” they wrote. “But I do love them together.”

Former islander Anna-May Robey echoed fans’ thoughts during her interview with Will Njobvu on the Reality podcast.

“I feel like she came in, Will was the only single boy and she didn’t really give any of the other boys a chance,” she explained before host Will asked: “Do you think she knew Will was a safe option?”

“Yeah,” Anna-May responded. “I think she’s watched [the show] before coming in and seen that Will is very very liked.”
