Love Island’s Jess Harding ‘needs a new man’ as best pal slams coupling

Love Island’s Jess Harding was paired up with George Fensom by the public during a vote last week.

Since George was confirmed as a new contestant on the ITV2 dating show, claims he is a “narcissist” and a “cheat” emerged from his ex in a resurfaced video on TikTok.

The clip was shared six months before George went into the Love Island villa and his ex claimed she was in an “emotionally abusive” relationship with George and advised ITV against giving him a platform.

George’s family denied the claims and said they were “false, unjustified and hurtful”.

After he made his official debut on the show he was partnered up with Jess – and her friend doesn’t seem to happy about it.

The Love Island Instagram shared a post of all the new couples and while Jess’ bestie Georgia threw support behind her pal, she also wasn’t too impressed.

Georgia wrote: “Well Jess is looking fab [heart eye emoji],” before adding: “but can we pls get her a new man.”

As someone responded to the comment writing: “Agreed!!!” Prompting Georgia to admit that she’s “not a fan” of George.

And it seems she’s not the only one, with Jess stepping forward on Monday night’s launch episode to volunteer herself up for a new romance.

In the ultimate twist, Maya Jama confirmed that a new bombshell would be coming in to pick one of the girls to couple up with in 24 hours.

Prior to his arrival, Maya asked the girls who weren’t confident in their relationship to step forward, prompting both Jess and Ruchee to step away from their men.

Zachariah will only pick one of the girls to couple up with – and it could be someone who is already in a relationship, so things could turn frosty in the other couples.

The launch episode had lots of twists and turns, with many fans branding it the best series opener in years.

With Zachariah’s arrival, the drama could start early this year, but who will he choose?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
