Twenty three years since hit sitcom My Family first aired, it’s fair to say its cast members have changed a lot.
Perhaps none more so than Gabriel Thomson, who played young Michael Harper in the BBC show.
Having quit acting, he now has a much different life and is unrecognisable from the bespectacled teenager we saw on screen.

The popular comedy aired from the early noughties to 2011, focusing on the Harper family’s highs, lows and interesting dynamics.
It followed dad Ben, mum Susan and their kids, Janey, Nick and Michael as they got in each other’s way.
Gabriel, who is now 36, was just 13 when he first appeared on the show alongside his on-screen parents and two siblings.

Years on he’s now ditched his glasses, famous curtain hairdo and fresh-faced appearance.
Earlier this year, he looked totally different as he showed off his toned physique in snaps after completing a marathon for Mind Charity, where he was flooded by support from fans.
He also shared several snaps from his Instagram to show his new career, as he is now behind the camera rather than in front of it.
Gabriel wrote: “Some stunning BTS pics of the short we filmed recently,” in pictures showing looking excitedly at a camera monitor on a set and relaxing backstage.
The actor was the only member of the Harper family who appeared in every series.

A decade after he left the show Gabriel focused on his studies at Kings College London with the intention of becoming a human rights lawyer.
Meanwhile his fellow co-stars continued to land roles in the acting world, with some landing big acting credits after their stint no the show.
Brother Nick, played by Kris Marshall, has appeared in multiple films and TV shows over the years including Death in Paradise to Christmas-favourite Love Actually.
The show was axed after 11 years by the BBC to make room for new comedy, but star Zoe Wanamaker claimed it was brought to an end because it was “too middle-class”.
The series had a whopping 121 episodes and was a beloved household favourite before its end.
At the time BBC’s Danny Cohen said: “Now that all the Harper children have fled the nest we feel it’s time to make room for new comedies”.
