Netflix viewers 'too scared to sleep' after chilling true crime stalker series

Netflix viewers have been left “too scared to sleep” after tuning in to watch new true crime series I Am a Stalker.

The chilling documentary, released last year, sees convicted stalkers and killers open up about their crimes and how their love turned into a deep obsession.

The streaming giant even warns viewers of “harrowing accounts of harassment, abuse and other crimes” from both stalkers and their victims.

A fourth added: “Hearing how the judicial system continued to fail these victims is [crazy Emoji icon]. A piece of paper doesn’t protect anyone. Thankful I am single at this point.”

A fifth references a specific case from the doc as they wrote: “I feel for John, but he put Rachel and her family through absolute hell.

“I’d be terrified to be anywhere near him after that. I can only imagine what would happen if Rachel met someone and moved on.”

The show explains: “Roughly 1.4 million people are stalked every year in the US alone.

“The results of stalking range from the annoying (persistently receiving loads of email or letters) to the intrusive (being secretly watched or followed) to the most severe (kidnapping and/or murder).”

It comes after fans were left so scared by 2020 horror His House that they were forced to switch it off and left “screaming out loud”.
