Piers Morgan begs Rihanna for interview after she told him to ‘grow a d**k’

Piers Morgan has been left begging Rihanna for an interview as she prepares for her Super Bowl half-time show.

The singing sensation is slated to perform for the first time in nearly five years – with her last performance happening at the 2018 Grammys alongside DJ Khaled.

And Piers, predictably, wants an interview with the Umbrella songstress for TalkTV – and reached out on Twitter to reminisce over their past interactions.

Back in September 2012, Rihanna took offence with Piers’ comments that she “needed to grow her hair back – fast”.

Rihanna snapped back at the former Good Morning Britain host: “Grow a d**k… fast!!!!”

Piers then responded: “This a good time to ask for an interview?” before Rihanna appeared to agree, quipping: “Haaaa! Only if it’s not about cosmetics! But ph*** yea let’s do it!!!!!!”

Now Piers has reached out once again, writing: “Good luck at the Super Bowl today @Rihanna – ready for that interview whenever you are,” alongside a picture of their old exchange.

Fans in the replies section were quick to brand Piers “irrelevant”, with one writing: “Bro really had to bring 2012 tweet to feel relevant.”

Another quipped: “Morgan making it all about himself again,” as a third social media user echoed: “Bit odd.”

“She ain’t interested,” someone else told Piers.

However, others were more impressed, with one Twitter user branding the interaction “iconic”, while another said: “This man is a genius!”

It comes after Piers sparked the ire of thousands as he lashed out at Sam Smith’s BRITs outfit – which consisted of a black inflatable latex suit, complete with huge shoulders and thighs.

Sam rocked the red carpet in the racy ensemble before they joined Kim Petras for a performance of Unholy on stage – once again rocking some leather bondage gear.

But Piers clearly wasn’t impressed as he tweeted: “Methinks ‘they’ is getting a teeny weeny bit over-thirsty for attention #BRITs.”

The cruel comment had fans sticking up for Sam in the replies section, as one fan said: “I think they realise most opinions mean nothing in the context of their life. That is what I respect about Sam Smith.”

Another said: “Why stop if it’s working? This is a great marketing strategy [to be honest].”

“Big up Sam for the strongest album advertisement we have seen in decades all because people like you get triggered and repost because you do not believe in freedom of expression. True freedom does not judge.”
