‘Raciest film of the year’ took Ulrika Jonsson’s ‘breath away’ with full-frontal scene

Ulrika Jonsson was left impressed by 2023’s “raciest” movie – and publicly endorsed it on her Instagram Stories.

The Gladiators star, 56, has never shied away from anything involving sexuality, and the British movie Saltburn was no exception. Starring Jacob Elordi, Barry Keoghan and Rosamund Pike, the film follows an Oxford University student invited home by his rich pal for the holidays, only to embark on a twisting tale of debauchery.

Along with leading man Keoghan dancing around a manor house totally naked – genitals flapping and in full view of cinema-goers – it also features a period sex scene and bathtub scene so extreme it had some audience members quitting partway through.

Later, Oliver is seen stripping off on the grave of his pal and dry-humping the earth in a scene that “went too far”, according to some critics. But Ulrika didn’t shy away from the NSFW movie.

Ulrika endorsed 2023 movie Saltburn

Writing on Instagram, she admitted: “Saltburn took my breath away, blew my mind. Outstanding cast. Cinematography second-to-none.”

She didn’t even seem fazed by one extreme scene, which sees Elordi’s character Felix Catton pleasuring himself in the bathtub – unaware that his pal Oliver is watching from the shadows. Once Felix is finished, Oliver heads into the bathroom while the tub is still draining. He presses his lips to the plughole and slurps up whatever he can just for a taste of Felix: bathwater and bodily fluids combined.

Meanwhile, viewers didn’t exactly share her stance, and took to social media at the time of its release to share their shock. One penned: “Someone just walked out of Saltburn after THAT SCENE, and you know art is back when it makes people rage quit.” While another said: “So many things in that movie are permanently cemented into my head.”

“I miss the peace I felt before Saltburn,” somebody else agreed. While a fourth viewer said: “I can now add Saltburn to the list of movies I have walked out of! Long, drawn out and my god nothing happens! There are only 3 movies on this list, the other two are Unfriended and Tenet. Hated every minute.”

Someone else reacted: “Saw the Saltburn tub scene with about 16 other people in the theatre and you could hear a marshmallow drop the way no-one moved or reacted.” Another penned: “Saltburn was wild. It does for bathtubs what Call Me By Your Name did for peaches.”

But director Emerald Fennell branded the scene the “sexiest thing” she’s ever witnessed. She told People: “What I’m saying with that scene is I think that scene is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen in my life… And I’m saying that anyone else is safe to feel that.

“We wanted to present the feeling of that locust love: impossible, carnivorous, forever, impossible vampire love. I think that that is what we did and every single person making this film did the most unbelievable job.”
