Robbie Williams' dad rushed to hospital after suffering horrific spinal injury

Robbie Williams’ dear dad Pete was rushed to hospital after suffering a horrific fall and breaking a bone in his spine.

The pop star’s 72-year-old dad, who lives with Parkinson’s disease, took to Twitter with a concerning photo showing him lying in the back of an ambulance.

Pete was seen strapped tightly into the stretcher next to two standing ambulance workers who were looking after him after the nasty accident.

Captioning the snap, Pete wrote: “Yesterday I had a fall and broke a bone in my spine (yes, it hurts) and I spent all day today in hospital.”

He admitted “I’ve had better days,” before revealing his frustration with Parkinson’s as he added: “#Parkinsons is a nuisance.”

Former Take That star Robbie has previously opened up about the concerns he has for his dad battling Pakrinson’s.

Back in 2020, he told The Mirror: “We’ve got a lot of family issues right now. My dad has got Parkinson’s, my mother-in-law who I love dearly has got a very big illness. We can’t get to them.

“My dad is thousands of miles away.”

At the time, he admitted he felt “fear and panic” at the idea of being stuck miles away while his father is suffering with poor health.

It’s not the first time the Angels hitmaker has spoken out the health worries he has for his “vulnerable” parents in their older years.

He told The Sun: “We are incredibly fortunate to be where we are but right now I am also talking for my dad, who is in the bungalow in Stoke-on-Trent and for my mum, who is in a house by herself.”

“They’re of that age that is very vulnerable to what is going on, so I am speaking to them on the phone daily.”

Robbie is currently on his XXV European tour and most recently played shows in Hamburg and Cologne in Germany.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday after Monday’s show, he wrote: “Last night was magical Cologne x”
