Robbie Williams says crazed fan tried to drag him off stage and 'eat' him

Pop star Robbie Williams claims a crazed German fan tried to drag him offstage and eat him.

The ex-Take That hunk revealed he had to leg it when the wannabe cannibal grabbed him at the start of a show.

He had walked up to the barrier to greet screaming crowds at the 13,500-capacity Festhalle Arena in Frankfurt.

Robbie, 49, said: “At the start of the show I go down to the barriers and I see what kind of people we have here. You f***ers are animals. Somebody tried to grab me into the audience and eat me for some reason.

But speaking from the safety of the stage, he admitted most fans had just wanted to “mother” him. They patted his stomach to make sure he was eating enough – unlike those at Hamburg’s Barclays Arena.

He added: “I was in Hamburg and two people tried to grab my penis. It is true. I felt two hands.”

The singer then mimicked them rooting around in his pants. “”Wer is das penis? Wer is das? Oh here it is,’” he said.

Robbie has been playing to full houses across Europe as part of his 25th anniversary XXV tour.

He will cross Scandinavia, France and Spain before heading back to the UK for the Isle of Wight festival in June.

The former cocaine addict told crowds he had relived “the highest of highs and lowest of lows” in the course of his 53-date odyssey.

He said: “The sex. Remember that? Ah it was so much fun. Especially here in Germany. Thank you Germany.

“The drugs. Mixed reaction for the drugs, because a few of you will be going ‘well he has been to rehab about 70 times, maybe we should not go yay to drugs.’ But it’s OK. Tonight will be therapy for me and entertainment for you.”
