Strictly’s Jayde Adams confirms real reason she asked to be paired up with female pro

Strictly Come Dancing star Jayde Adams has opened up on her Strictly stint.

Although she was the fourth contestant to leave the dancing show, it was recognised that she was going from strength to strength during her time on the show.

When Jayde signed up for the contest, she was paired with Karen Hauer, and now she’s explained to Lorraine Kelly why she was paired up with a woman.

Speaking on Lorraine Kelly’s self titled show, she told the host: “I had a dance background when I was a kid. It doesn’t matter whether I danced before or not, I’m the size I am.

“But I decided I wanted to dance with a woman because I just I looked at the boys and they are lovely but they’re not gonna lift me Lorraine.”

Lorraine told her that was “fair enough” as Jayde explained that she had dancing training before but in all of her training she was doing the lifts with her sister.

Jayde was doing incredible performances with her partner Karen on the show and fans shared their support for the duo throughout the series.

When Jayde confirmed she was paired up with Karen, she shared a glamorous photo of the pair on her feed and wrote: “Ladies, gentlemen and all those in-between.”

They were inundated with love as Karen wrote: “The cat is out of the bag babes,” while person wrote: “This is beyond,” as a third said: “This has made me smile so much.”

When the duo were voted off, Jayde wrote: “I had the time of my life! Don’t worry about me my babes. I would’ve loved to have stayed obviously, our Halloween and couples choice plans were huge.

“Ya girls booked and blessed. I got my own series on ITV2 Ruby Speaking that I start filming in January, Alma’s Not Normal series 2, a massive UK tour, the Take That movie and loads more. Being on #Strictly was just the cherry on an already amazing cake.”

Jayde also shared information about her new series Ruby Speaking which is airing on ITV2.
