The Chase fans applaud ‘luckiest contestant ever’ as she makes major comeback

ITV viewers are branding one player the “luckiest contestant ever” after she made an epic comeback on Tuesday night’s episode of The Chase (March 21).

Four new players took their spot on the podium and took on the chaser to win bags of cash, but the team were off to a bad start as the first two players were sent home.

Having taken on Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, they were unable to keep their lead and left the panel with just two and zero cash.

After bagging just £1k in her cash builder round against host Bradley Walsh, she decided to take a risk and go for the high offer of £40k. Fans predicting she would be sent home packing but admired her bravery.

But she soon proved fans wrong when she smashed her questions and took £40k back to the pize pot.

Fans on Twitter were so impressed that they called her the luckiest contestant ever during the episode.

Player Zaki was next up and managed to join Steph in the final after bringing home £7k.

As the players headed into the final, even host Bradley commented on their amazing rebound.

“Thought you were gunna get hammered today but you played really really well. A game of two halves,” he said.

After managing to answer 15 questions correctly, they were soon beaten off by chaser Mark and sent home with nothing, much to the disappointment of fans at home.

“Wanted them to win so much, lovely couple, the Beast is a spoilsport #TheChase,” said one fan. Another agreed: “Bad luck team. Good effort #TheChase.”
