The Office beauty Lucy Davis, 50, looks totally different in throwback snap before fame

The Office beauty Lucy Davis looked unrecognisable in a throwback snap of her years before she found fame.

The actress, 50, is best known for her role as Dawn Tinsley in the two series of the iconic BBC comedy series.

Like her famous character, Lucy headed off the States for a new life, and she has since bagged roles in the Netflix smash The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina as Aunt Hilda Spellman, as well as the blockbuster superhero flick Wonder Woman.

But it’s clear Lucy, who is the daughter of Brummie funnyman Jasper Carrott, hasn’t forgotten her roots.

Taking to her Instagram on Monday (August 7) the Sean Of The Dead star took a trip down memory line and uploaded a throwback snap of herself in London.

A fresh-faced Lucy can be seen in the snap sitting on a mattress on the floor soon after arriving in the capital.

In the caption, she explained how it was taken after she’d moved into a new house ahead of starting drama school.

“Me at 18 just moved into my new London digs to go to drama school. Soooo many good memories in that place,” Lucy said.

“I lived there for 13 years (with slightly more furniture eventually..) #flashback #likeanotherlifetimeago.”

Another added: “Aww you look so cute,” while a third quipped: “Baby Lucy, so pretty!l

Actress Jennifer Ehle also commented: ‘I remember that girl!”

Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton chimed in too and wrote: ‘Adorable! I have a similar picture.”

Lucy has faced her heartache throughout her thirty years in the spotlight and has been open about her experience with bulimia.

According to Lucy, it was at its worst when she was going through a divorce in 2011.

She said during a 2017 interview with The Telegraph that after years of living with an eating disorder she’s realised that “whatever your body’s meant to be, it will figure itself out… it’s been a journey.”

The star’s bulimia battle peaked around 2011, as her five-year marriage to fellow actor Owain Yeoman came to an end.

She added: “Now, I think I’m just normal. But my head didn’t think that then. This period of binge and purge was at its worst when my marriage came to an end.”
