Vengaboys stars ‘caught the eye’ of Leonardo DiCaprio but they turned down offer

Vengaboys star Robin Pors has revealed that his bandmates Kim Sasabone and Denise Post-Van Rijswik once turned down Hollywood’s Leonardo DiCaprio.

While the group were enjoying a night out, DiCaprio spotted the girls and decided to make a move.

He said: “Yes, he did. I wasn’t paying attention, but Denise and Kim were invited to his table, he was really into the girls.”

However, Kim and Denise decided against the idea.

“We had to go home and work and tour and travel, and that happens when we have to miss good opportunities. That was the night the girls had to go and if not, they would have had fun with Leonardo.”

Kim and Denise also previously spoke to Daily Star about their experience meeting the man himself.

They revealed that Leonardo had indeed asked Denise to join him for a drink almost two decades prior.

The duo explained: “We were at an after party nearly 20 years ago and there was Leonardo DiCaprio. We were dancing on the dance floor and one of his bouncers asked us to come and sit at his table.”

“We were like: ‘Oh my god, his bouncer is coming to us?”

Denise then admitted that the Hollywood star had his eye on her in particular.

She said: “They asked me, just to put it out there, he was really more into me.”

Although the girls were up for getting to know the Hollywood A-lister, they decided against having a drink with DiCaprio because the pair had commitments the next day, so they sensibly turned down the offer.

They explained: “The next day we had this big breakfast show and so we had to politely say no. We had to say: ‘Sorry, we have to go.”

“So, Denise turned down Leonardo DiCaprio. That’s the best thing that has ever happened.”

They also told Daily Star about their wild careers and explained that their bandmate Robin Pors was “once sexually assaulted by a dolphin”.

The girls explained: “There’s some inappropriate things that have happened [throughout our careers]. Robin, while shooting a music video on a tropical island in the Caribbean, was sexually assaulted by dolphins.”

“It was the video for Hot Hot Hot […] they were shooting a water bit, it’s kind of crazy. He came out unharmed, thankfully, but it really happened!”
