Amanda Holden ‘always kept quiet’ about BGT co-star’s ‘secret’ – until now

Amanda Holden has ‘exposed’ her Britain’s Got Talent co-star’s ‘secret’ – something she has apparently “always kept quiet about.”

The TV star was back on screens on Friday (April 18) appearing on Good Morning Britain. Amanda was there to chat with hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway about ITV show, BGT.

For the new series, Amanda is joined by fellow judges Simon Cowell, Simon, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli as they discover the best talent in the UK. Kicking off this Saturday (April 19) one act that takes to the stage is an AI Group.

The performers use computer wizardry to transform Amanda, Simon Cowell, Simon, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli into The Greatest Showman for a singalong, making it look like they were singing. And it’s fair to say Amanda was stunned at watching the act.

Amanda appeared on GMB to talk about BGT

Talking about watching her, and her co-stars ‘perform’ on stage as AI versions, Amanda let slip on GMB a secret about Simon Cowell. The ageless beauty said it was something she has “always kept quiet about.”

Amanda revealed: “We had no clue what was going on. To be honest, it took me a minute, because I was looking up and going who’s that? Because it was Simon. I lost my mind.”

She added: “I hear him, sort of humming next to me that no one is ever privy to. And I’ve always kept very quiet about the fact that he might need a bit of auto tune.” Giggling, she quickly added: “No he doesn’t.”

During a press launch this week, Simon spoke out about the AI act. He said: “We just saw these four people come out and then there were cameras and we just looked up and were like, ‘Oh my God, it’s us’. We had no idea what was going on.

Simon then pointed out that he liked the act because it wasn’t like anything else they had seen on stage. He added: “It’s another example of somebody doing something different.”

Meanwhile Amanda worried show boss Simon would replace her with a virtual version and admitted: “It’s probably cheaper.” Bruno, 68, replied: “Don’t give him an idea.”
