Amanda Holden halts BGT audition as she tells dangerous act ‘end it’ after brutal fall

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda had her heart in her mouth after a lethal act almot had a major fatality on stage.

During the Saturday night show (May 4), celebrity judes Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Amanda were back to critique performances from across the globe. But one act from Azerbaijan left the judges and audience members terrified.

During the routine, the jaw-dropping balancing act, had some of the members from their group balance their whole body weight with one hand on each other’s head while climing a ladder. But while coming off the ladder, one of the men in the group fell down and appeared to have hurt himself.

At the this point, the judges had seen more than they bargained for. As the performers insisted that tey would continue, Amanda shouted: “End it there, no!” While Alesha agreed and said: “It’s so silly.”

But as the audience roared for more, the act continued their routine and took things a step further by climbing up higher on the ladder. The dangerous act, left the judges hiding behind their hands as they watched the group complete their act.

Once they successfully finished their routine, the judges gave their verdict and expressed how impressed they were. Amanda said: “So brilliant but so tense and so scary. I don’t think we’ve seen anything like that.”

Brun also said: “You almost killed me!” He added: “I nearly passed out!”

Fans at home were also left in shock too and had plenty to say on X. One social media user said: “We nearly passed out with you Bruno.” Another chimed: “Held my breath until he got safely to the other side of the ladder…”

A third added: “This is why I love BGT! So much talent in different forms! Good for that guy for continuing on through sheer will and determination.”

But some cynical fans seemed to think the fall was also apart of the act to create suspense. Adding an opposing view, one spectator said: “Was that fall in the handstanding act staged or not?”

Another said: “Fall looked deliberate to me. Call me cynical.”
