Ashley Cain welcomes baby boy two years after daughter Azaylia’s tragic death

Ashley Cain has confirmed he has welcomed his first child – two years after the death of his daughter.

The reality star, 33, announced the news with an Instagram post on Thursday (January 18). He uploaded a snap of the newborn tot and penned in the caption: “Aliyas Diamond Cain – 16.01.24, 4:32am, 9lbs 3oz.

“I will love you, appreciate you, guide you and protect you with all of my heart, for the rest of my life & you will have the most beautiful guardian angel heaven holds watching over you and protecting you too. Welcome to the world my son.”

He added: “May your body be strong, your mind be wise, your heart be loving and your spirit be pure and truly powerful.” Ashley’s fans and showbiz pals were quick to send their well wishes.

Ashley Banjo penned: “Congrats brother.” While one fan wrote: “Welcome to the world beautiful boy! You are already so loved.” Someone else commented: “So precious. Enjoy every moment.”

Ashley tragically lost his daughter Azaliya Diamond Cain at the age of just eight months old to terminal cancer two years ago. In December, he announced he was set to become a dad again – and is yet to reveal the mother of his son.

In an interview, Ashley said his little girl in heaven was the first person to know about the new addition to their family. He broke down in tears when he shared the news as he spoke of visiting his daughter’s grave to tell her that she was going to be a big sister to a baby brother.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “After going to her resting place and speaking to her about it, I just had a feeling in my heart and in my soul that she was happy for me. She was happy that she had a little brother and it is now just someone else for her to watch over and protect in this world.”

In July last year, Ashley had been preparing to take on the world’s toughest survival endurance race from Canada, through the Arctic circle, to Alaska when he got a message from a friend, who he had been seeing at the time. Ashley revealed in the interview that he met up with his pal and she told him she was pregnant.

He admitted that potentially having another child after losing one was very difficult to understand. Bu the Yurok challenge gave him time to understand that “every child that comes into this world is a blessing.”
