Body Coach Joe Wicks unrecognisable in unearthed TV show stint years before fame

Joe Wicks looks totally different in a TV show stint years before fame.

The Body Coach, 38, has amassed a loyal legion of fans since shooting to fame in recent years. Thanks to his workout videos and handsome good looks, Joe has become a favourite with the nation.

And it’s fair to say Joe has built up an impressive career so far. He’s had numerous TV stints and released a slew of best-selling books. He was also awarded an MBE in 2020.

But it turns out that long before he was famous for being the nation’s PE teacher, he actually appeared on a TV show. The TV presenter once shared how he starred on a short-lived game show for Channel 4.

The programme, called The Bank Job, was hosted by George Lamb. It featured a bank vault with 25 safe deposit boxes and the contestants had to answer questions to open the boxes and bag the prize money.

During Joe’s stint on the show back in 2012, Joe looked almost unrecognisable. The athlete didn’t have his now-signature beard, and looked more fresh-faced.

Joe shared a clip to Instagram in 2022 of his time on the gameshow. In the video, he can be seen looking panicked after he failed to get his buzzer to work to answer a question as the timer counted down.

On the show host George asked him: “Which urban music trio consists of Dappy, Fazer and Tulisa?” Joe shouted back: “It’s not buzzing.

“It’s not buzzing, N Dubz!”, he added before putting his head in his hands. Captioning the clip on his Instagram Story, Joe wrote: “N Dubz innit. Bloody knew it was.”

It comes as earlier this year, Joe shared he is expecting his fourth child with his stunning model wife Rosie. Joe announced their happy news with a sweet snap on Instagram.

The 38-year-old could be seen holding their 16-month-old daughter Leni as Rosie cradled her blossoming baby bump. The post was flooded with messages from their friends and followers who couldn’t wait to congratulate them on their happy news.
