Emmerdale Chas Dingle’s ‘dark side’ set to resurface after cancer diagnosis, AI claims

Emmerdale favourite Chas Dingle is set to unleash her “dark side” after she received her devastating cancer diagnosis.

Loyal fans of the ITV Dales will remember how the beloved barmaid (played by Lucy Pargeter) was eligible for genetic testing for breast cancer last week following the death of her mother Faith (Sally Dexter) in October 2022. After running several tests, doctors diagnosed her with the heart-breaking condition.

During the consultation, they told her that her condition is currently at stage one and is not necessarily genetically linked. However, the type of cancer she has is more aggressive with a faster growth rate and a higher risk of metastasis – something that happened to her mother when she was diagnosed with the terminal condition.

Now, Daily Star has quizzed one of most popular intelligent ‘creative’ tools Bard AI to see what her future holds as she comes to terms with her condition. When asked how she may deal with her diagnosis, the system warned viewers that the brunette beauty may unleash her “dark side”.

It told us: “Chas’ cancer diagnosis in Emmerdale opens up a range of possibilities for her character arc, including a potential dark turn.” The programme went on to suggest two possible paths her character could take.

The first is that she could spiral out of control as she battles the life-threatening condition. It explained: “Chas might lash out at those who care about her, pushing them away due to fear and anger.

“This could lead to loneliness and further despair, highlighting the emotional isolation often faced by cancer patients. Chas might turn to risky behaviour like alcohol or drug abuse as a coping mechanism, showcasing the potential dangers of unhealthy coping strategies.”

Bard AI went on to suggest that through her cancer journey, the barmaid may be forced to make some difficult decisions. It continued: “Faces with challenging decisions about treatment or life choices, Chas might make morally ambiguous choices, forcing viewers to confront complex ethical issues related to illness and morality.”

However, the barmaid may be able to overcome the initial shock of her diagnosis and find strength with the support of those around her. It went on: “Chas might discover inner strength and support from unlikely sources, showcasing the human capacity for resilience in the face of adversity.

“Through honest communication and vulnerability, Chas might rebuild her relationships, demonstrating the importance of connection and support during difficult times.” Alternatively, Chas may put her energy into raising money and awareness for cancer research as well as helping others going through a similar thing.
