Emmerdale fans forced to ‘leave the room’ as they refuse to watch ‘illegal’ scene

Emmerdale viewers couldn’t hack the karaoke scene which aired on Tuesday night (March 5).

Fans of the ITV soap watched characters like Gail Platt, Mandy Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield sang their hearts out in the Woolpack. However, it seems viewers weren’t able to stomach the singing because it was too bad.

Gail was hosting a karaoke night at the pub, offering free drinks to anyone who dared to sing. Vanessa tried to win back her ex Suzy during the karaoke, even though Suzy was about to move to Canada. Mary, who fancies Suzy, was gutted to see them getting close again.

But it was the karaoke that really got to the viewers. One fan moaned on X, formerly Twitter: “Omg Gail! ! ! Shut up singing # Emmerdale.”

Another joked: “Swirling needs to bust down the saloon doors and arrest Gail for crimes against music #Emmerdale,” and someone else said: “Just had to leave the room to have my ears rearranged after that dubious karaoke performance #Emmerdale.”, reports the Mirror.

Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa, had hinted there’s going to be a love triangle with Vanessa, Suzy, and Mary. She said that even though Vanessa and Suzy weren’t together, they left things on a good note with a kiss and it was all very sweet.

Vanessa wanted to impress Suzy

“Obviously, Vanessa’s coming back to the village and Vanessa is totally unaware of maybe a potential relationship between Suzy and Mary, who Vanessa sees as a mother figure. Vanessa is totally oblivious to this. I think Vanessa’s going to try and maybe get her relationship back on track with Suzy, whether Suzy wants to or not, you know, we’ll just have to wait and see.”

One viewer had to leave the room

Michelle returned to the soap recently as part of the Rhona and Ivy storyline, after the actress went on maternity leave. Speaking about being back on the soap, she said: “It is absolutely fabulous.”

“I’ve not realised how much I’ve actually missed the place. I’m loving it and it actually feels like I’ve never been away, even though it’s 14 months. I was worried about not being able to learn lines but luckily they have gone back in.”
