Emmerdale fans point out ‘big mistake’ as they demand character to get the boot

Fans of ITV’s Emmerdale seem to have had enough of Aaron Dingle as they claim it was a “big mistake” bringing him back on the show.

The once-fan favourite has been rubbing viewers up the wrong way ever since he returned to the Dales last year displaying a much darker side. On Thursday’s episode Aaron- who has been recently stealing cars- reached new hights when he decided to take his uncle Cain’s family car without permission to hopefully sell on.

But when his family member Sam reported him to Cain, Aaron blew his top off following his brief questioning by the police. This later then led to Aaron and Cain coming to blows.

As Aaron contined to cause havoc, fans headed straight to X formerly known as Twitter demanding producrs to write Aaron out of the show. One Emmerdale fan wrote: “Aaron is a piece of s**t. Big mistake bringing him back.”

Emmerdale fans want Aaron to leave

“Aaron’s like a completely different character since he came back. There’s nothing to like about him any more.”

While a fourth added: “My toenails are harder than Aaron…seriously get him off the screen, script writers.”

But others seemed to be heartbroken for Aaron, with one viewer writing: “I´m actually deeply saddened by the depth of Aaron’s despair. Cain really tried to talk to him but that’s not what Aaron wanted,he wanted all grief to end.”

Aaron caused havoc in the latest episode

Actor Danny Miller who plays Aaron previously warned viewers that Aaron will not be the same once he settles back into the village. A few months back, Aaron was kidnapped by his uncles Cain and Caleb and escorted back to Emmerdale.

But Aaron, who was involved with an Italian gang in Italy, did not want to come back. Talking to Daily Star previously, Danny shared insight into his character’s mental state.

He said: “So this state of mind is very much that he’s very selfish, quite angry and maybe slightly depressed in a sort of way I guess from everything that’s happened and he’s not dealt with the grief very well. So the state of mind is just angry at everybody and he’s just constantly looking for a fight.”
