Emmerdale’s Jai Sharma’s death ‘sealed’ in deadly Amit twist as killer finally exposed

Emmerdale fans are worried Jai Sharma could meet a tragic end in a deadly twist involving his dad Amit.

Amit has already shown he’s capable of murder, having shockingly killed his brother Rishi Sharma, played by fan favourite Bhasker Patel, in a surprise plot twist. And the drama didn’t end there as viewers saw the drama continue with Amit and the other residents of the Dales on Wednesday (March 27).

His cunning father had been trying to con Eric Pollard out of money for a ‘new business’ in order to pay off his debts to a woman named Dee. But in the latest episode, Jai finally figured out what his biological father was up to.

Determined to get to the bottom of his suspicions, he followed his dad to the meeting with Dee. It was at this point that he discovered that his father had given the takings from the Hide to his loan shark in an attempt to stop her chasing him for the rest of the money he owed.

Jai watched as his father handed over the cash, and was there at the Hide when he returned claiming he had been attacked by three thugs who had stolen the money. They insisted he should contact the police, but his dad was determined to handle the matter personally.

However, he is completely unaware that his son Jai knows the truth about where the money really went, reports the Mirror. Now that Jai knows the truth about Amit, fans are worried that this could mean the end for Jai’s character.

After all, Amit had no problem murdering his brother when he found out the truth – so what would stop him killing his son? Speaking on This Morning today, Chris Bisson, who plays Jai in Emmerdale, hinted at a big stunt coming up in the soap.

He teased viewers: “I don’t want to spoil what happens but I think you’ll find Jai is just keeping his powder dry, keeping an eye on him. Of course it’s a trap ’cause I’m sat here talking to you!

“When we find out how this story unravels, bad Jai might be coming back. He can be quite nasty you know,” he said. “If you are an Emmerdale fan and you have been watching this story, Jai is gonna find out tonight and the consequences will be on Thursday.

“You have got to keep watching because it gets better. There might be a stunt involved and you know that Rishi was killed in an argument at the top of the stairs, it might come back round.”

Fans are convinced Vinny also knows the truth

But fans are convinced that Eric and Jai aren’t the only ones who know what Amit is hiding. During Tuesday’s episode (March 26) of the ITV soap, Eric enlisted the help of Vinny after he was warned by Amit to keep out of his affairs. Vinny swiped the keys to Holdgate and urged Eric to hunt for incriminating evidence against Rishi .Eric entered the home and was chilled as he walked past the spot where Rishi died. Meanwhile, Vinny was tasked with distracting Amit.

But Vinny’s repeated glances at the clock and circular conversation, as well as the mysterious disappearance of his keys caused Amit to abruptly leave The Hide. Returning to Holdgate, Amit found Eric at his home with Jai.

Viewers will have to stay tuned to see how Amit’s downfall will take place later this week. Emmerdale continues on weekdays from 7.30pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
