GMB’s Susanna Reid ‘triggered’ as she’s hit with symptoms on air and details health issue

Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid was left “triggered” on air as she opened up about a hidden health issue.

The ITV show returned for another instalment on Wednesday (February 7) with Susanna and Richard back at the helm. On the show, they spoke to Jamie Laing about his battle with tinnitus – something Susanna also suffers with.

The studio then played the ringing sound of what Jamie and Susanna hear, to give viewers an insight into it. But halfway through their conversation, Susanna admitted how the sound had “triggered” her.

“It’s really interesting, the ringing sound we ran just now, that’s triggered it now, in my head,” she revealed. Susanna added: “So now I can hear it again.”

She went on: “Because you have to make a conscious effort to tune it out so actually reminding myself of it. But it’s fine I just think I’m not going to worry about it – I’m just going to tune it out again.”

Richard then chimed in and asked: “Does talking about it make it worse?” She replied: “Sometimes it can.”

Elsewhere Jamie spoke about his battle with tinnitus. He said: “It’s really tricky. My started around eight years ago and you have to learn to accept it which is a really hard thing to do.”

He added: “This is forever there is no cure, it never goes, Talking about the first time it happened, he revealed: “I woke up and I was like ‘whats that ringing noise.’

Susanna revealed she was ‘triggered’ by the sound

“I looked all around the flat for the ringing noise, and suddenly realised it was coming inside my head.” The Made In Chelsea star went on: “You have to treat it like air con or a fan. You have to tune out of it and realise it’s not harmful and try and forget about it. It causes anxiety, which can make it worse.”
